Our Story
Born and raised in Izmir, Turkey, founders Baha and Beril grew up immersed in the vibrant olive culture of the Aegean region. From childhood, we savored the finest olives and olive oils harvested from local villages, where ancient groves stretch across sun-drenched hillsides.
Our journey took us abroad—to Singapore from 2020 to 2022, and then to the United States from 2022 to 2025—where we experienced diverse cultures and cuisines. It was during these years that we truly appreciated the unique heritage of Aegean olives. Beril, an agricultural engineer, delved deeper into the science behind their exceptional quality, while Baha recognized the global demand for authentic, healthy products. Living away from home highlighted how this timeless tradition could bridge worlds, inspiring our return to Turkey with a renewed passion.
Today, at Kayrakan, our mission is to share this Aegean treasure with the world. We connect small local producers—who often lack export channels—with international markets, ensuring premium olive oils and olives reach health-conscious consumers everywhere. Through sustainable practices and direct sourcing, we're not just exporting products; we're preserving a legacy and empowering communities.
